We're really excited to announce that we'll be hosting the Vickers Bovey Guitar Duo, Abstruckt Ensemble and a final set from Tir Eolas at the beautiful Crypt on the Green this October!
The Vickers Bovey Guitar Duo, musicians with 'beautifully effortless techniques, musicality in abundance, and that special ingredient that makes them stand out… originality!', will be premiering new works by William Marsey and Benedict Giles, as well as giving the UK premiere of Rubens Askenar's Zapateado and performing one of the guitar duo great's- Piazzolla's 'Tango Suite'.
Abstruckt Ensemble, a collective of percussionists who specialise in performing contemporary and theatrical repertoire, will be premiering new works by Josephine Stephenson, Tom Rose and Freya Waley-Cohen.
The 'enchanting' (folk words) Tir Eolas will then finish off our evening with a beautiful folk set!
With these three fantastic groups and 5 world premieres, its going to be a really exciting night!!
Listenpony is a registered charity, founded to benefit composers, musicians, and new music. Over the last 4 years we've produced 9 events, and given more than 50 premieres or early performances of young musicians' works.
