Wherever you work in Defra it is likely that what you do has changed in some way with the implications of EU Exit, particularly if you are a line manager of people working on EU Exit. Whether you are an experienced Defra line manager or new to line management, the challenge is considerable, especially as teams are quickly growing.

In order to support you as line managers working in EU Exit we have set up an informal lunchtime session where line managers can come and find out more about induction support and quickly completing pre-employment (or onboarding). It’s also a great opportunity to get advice from Human Resources about issues that are affecting you as a line manager, which we will also use to inform further support sessions and interventions going forward.

These are informal, interactive events running for about an hour over lunchtime so please do feel free to bring your lunch with you.

As these sessions are new they will be updated following each event to respond to emerging needs and feedback. If you want to send in questions ahead of the session then please contact the event organiser on the link above, including your name and which directorate you work in.

  • I have not received my Line Manager Upskilling Session ticket via email. What should I do?

    The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your Line Manager Upskilling Session tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. Alternatively, you can always find your Line Manager Upskilling Session tickets in your Billetto account that you can access in the browsers or the dedicated Billetto app. For more help with this, read here.

  • I wish to cancel my Line Manager Upskilling Session ticket and receive a refund. What should I do?

    The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you.
