Leon says: "I'm gonna be back, the Art House said I could come! And the bandy-bois said they'd be up for it! We'll be bringing you a show over at one of my favourite venues in the world.
I've played numerous gigs including my album launch for my debut album, 'Please' as well as opening for Rory McLeod and playing various lineups downstairs with Ash Ellis and Eric Walker. So I've decided it will have been about 6 or even 7 months since I played there, so why not give setting up a gig there another pop? Therefore I messaged Jon Greene Music and Sam Richardson, the southern portion of my bandy-bois, and checked if they were free, then asked a true friend and beautiful artist friend of mine Kitty O'Neal if she'd be up to open? She was."

Leon C is a young contemporary folk singer-songwriter born in Southampton, Hampshire. From the age of 7, Leon had taken a deep interest and found a love for music by artists from the era of his father in the 60s. After 9 years of playing the guitar with classical training, Leon began mixing his love for poetry and vintage music with his more modern influences to create poetically inflected, contemporary folk music.
Now 18 and based in Birmingham, having met Jon Green at college through other friends involved in music, Leon struck up a close friendship with the jazz drummer after a university moving in day message from Jon to tell Leon he’s just across the road. Since numerous jams and work with bassist Sam Richardson, also from college with the two, the boys have aided Leon in developing a more fleshed-out sound that aims to please those with an inkling for arrangements greater than vocals and guitars.
The inclusion of the drummer and bassist allow for a tight packing of emotions within the music, both with the lyrics flowing through the music and soft touching basslines that mix with delicately drummed parts sinking into Leon’s fingerpicking to harder, more aggressive pieces when the tone suggests it. With comparisons to the likes of George Harrison's solo work and Bob Dylan's work on Time out of Mind, Leon C’s band is an experience worth just as much, if not more than seeing Leon C on his own.

Kitty O’Neal is a singer-songwriter from the U.K. In 2018 Kitty released debut album “Giving in to You”, receiving critical acclaim from BBC Introducing South and Solent and attracting venues in the UK where she has recently supported Band of Skulls and Meadowlark. Mixing her folk influences with a love of alternative/pop and electronic sound, her performance encapsulates both moods in a unique and ever-evolving sound. Kitty's poignant songwriting, catchy melodies and distinct emotive performance make for a captivating and vibrant live experience, filled with both soulful melancholy and groove.
