Description

Learn how to be your own therapist

This movement based workshop, led by Osteopath Leon Baugh, teaches dancers to self assess their bodies, figure out where unexpected restrictions are and pick movement patterns that will bring their body back to a point of balance using the Anatomy in Motion system.
This simple system of analysis and movement will help maximize your movement potential, make it less likely to pick up injuries when training and help you recover from injury if you are unlucky enough to get one.

Basically you will start to learn how to be your own therapist!

This workshop is aimed at dancers who want to maximise their movement potential and look after their bodies for a long career.

Leon was an international touring dancer with a 10+ year long career dancing for companies such as Jasmin Vardimon and Hofesh Shechter, before becoming an Olivier Award winning choreographer for theatre. He is now an Osteopath and Anatomy in Motion practitioner, treating many of Londons top dancers, including Akram Khan, Sylvie Guillem, Russel Maliphant, Anne Teresa De Keersmaker and the Rosas dancers, dancers from Adventures in Motion pictures, company members from West End musicals and Londons top theatres and many many more!

Please note, if you are doing the workshop you can attend the 9:15am YOGA class at a bargain rate: £7 (instead of £12)

TRIPKITCHEN'S DANCER MEAL DEAL: a dish of choice from the daily lunch board + a hot drink for £5
Please note this offer is valid only for dancers that have attended class!

Check your order confirmation page or order confirmation email. Usually, the organiser of the event provides the details in the order confirmation email or they might send you a follow-up email with a link to their online event. You might also want to read the event description on Billetto where an event organiser should describe how to join the event online. For more information on this, read here.
