It's an exciting time for traditional English folk music, with a new wave of young singers and performers breaking through that favour a stripped-back, bare-bones style. Coming to Whitchurch Folk Club this March are Laura Smyth & Ted Kemp, a duo making a name for themselves for their revival-esque sound and their fondness for unaccompanied singing, and Nick Hart, whose recent album of traditional songs was one of the highlights of 2017. Get out and support these young interpreters of the trad song book, and help to keep English folk music alive and well. Tickets now available website.
