St Patrick's Day Special: A Host of Irish- 17th March 2016
Whiskey Tasting and Banquet
Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings invites you to join us for an evening celebrating all things Irish with an evening of whiskey, food, words and music from the Emerald Isle.
From the origins of Ireland and Irish mythology, we'll taste and trace the history and stories with Chef Adam Gray's food paired with Bán poitín, Redbreast pot still Irish whiskey and specially-made cocktails from the B&H Buildings team.
As well as the stories of Old Eire, we'll delve into more modern Irish voices such as George Bernard Shaw and James Joyce, whilst sampling some of their favourite tipples, before dancing of the night away to the lively refrains of our Irish band.

Bán Poitín, St. Patrick’s Fawn, Redbreast 12 year old, Redbreast 15 year old

Pearl barley, spring onion and Cashel Blue risotto (Vegetarian option)

Potato dumplings, curly kale and wild garlic butter sauce (Vegetarian option)
Paired with St Patrick’s Fawn: The rich aromatic flavours of Redbreast 12 year old whisky are enhanced by our house winter cordial, port, and fresh pressed apple juice before being shaken with a whole egg for a centuries old ‘Flip’ cocktail. Luscious and fluffy.
Pudding
Irish stout chocolate pudding, rhubarb fool
Paired with Redbreast 12 year old: A multi-award winning pot-still Irish whiskey, Redbreast 12 year old carries fruity, floral nutty notes on the nose, with an oily citrusy palate leading to a creamy slightly spicy finish.
After Dinner Indulgences
Handmade chocolates, coffee and teas
Paired with Joyce’s Wake: A lyrical riff on the Irish Coffee, with Redbreast 12 year old shaken up with a spiced Guinness reduction and espresso, then topped with shaken cream.
