Lara Eidi is a versatile and unique singer-songwriter, blending elements of folk, jazz and world music. Her Lebanese-Canadian heritage, Greek upbringing and London life have helped shaped her music and inspired her anticipated debut album ‘Transition’.
Praised for having a voice that was reminiscent of Streisand and Joni Mitchell, Eidi has been described as “a singer that knows no niche, because she has created one of her own”. She has established a name for herself in London, Beirut and Athens, often collaborating with genre-defying musicians and filmmakers. An interview with BBC Radio London this year prompted her to revisit her roots, and travel abroad for residencies and inspiring cross-over work.
Eidi’s upcoming album “Transition” reflects the tapestry of stories and events experienced over the past 5 years of living in London; the chaos, the beauty, the constant change, the coming and going, and finally the acceptance. She is joined by Dave Mannington on bass and Naadia Sheriff on piano, with guest artists.
