Lancaster Comedy Club proudly presents:
George Egg
Wildly brandishing the worlds’ second largest briefcase containing a battery of ridiculous props, GEORGE EGG bounds onto the stage to perform one of the most original, interesting, innovative, and sweetly whimsical comedy performances you are ever likely to see.
He has been hailed as ‘a Tommy Cooper for the twenty first century’ and through tears of laughter you’ll see why. A true cross between alternative stand-up comedy and music hall variety.
“Hugely entertaining” The Guardian
Paul T Eyres
Paul T Eyres has been performing stand-up professionally since 2007 and plays at virtually all of the big UK clubs, as well as overseas and at private functions and company events. A versatile performer, he is in demand as both an MC and an act, and his Edinburgh shows consistently sell out.
Paul appears on BBC3 and has written comedy for BBC and Channel 4, has won awards as a writer-director, and has a weekly podcast in which he and other comedians cover everything from sport to self-improvement.
Pete Phillips
Originally from Lincolnshire but based in Manchester Pete has been building a name for himself on the circuit as a very funny act over the last few years.
Mixing fast paced observations and routines with wonderful characterisations Pete wears his comedy heart on his sleeve leaving the audience in hysterics at his misfortunes and frustrations with the minutiae of everyday life.
Martin Mor
Originally known as ‘Martin Big Pig‘, MARTIN MOR has been a mainstay of the circuit for decades. A former circus acrobat, Martin turned to stand up after sustaining a serious injury in the ring. He is also one of the few acts who can claim to have performed on Radio 4’s ‘Woman’s Hour’ as well as in an Italian prison. Although his club work is certainly geared towards adults he is an immensely flexible performer and regularly performs ‘clean’ shows for families and kids.
“A very funny lad, with the best beard in the business” Johnny Vegas
“The UK comedy circuit would not be the same without him” Frankie Boyle
“He had all the VIPs shaking with laughter, and engaged on the right level with everyone. Thank you so, so, so much.” Helene Cooper. Northern Beats
“Extremely funny.” Peter Kay
Start your week off with a giggle by either booking online or popping into the Borough and ask a member of staff. You can book up until 4pm on the day of the show assuming we haven't already sold out.
Any questions? ring 01524 64170.
Please note: Due to the high standard of comedians we bring to The Borough it isn't unusual to lose one to TV, overseas or corporate commitments so all tickets are sold on the basis that acts are subject to change. If you’re travelling to see a specific act please phone ahead to ensure they’re still on the bill.
