The Lancaster Comedy Club proudly presents:
Tom Wrigglesworth
With a disarmingly charming delivery and unforgettable appearance, this Yorkshire funny man became a national have-a-go-hero when he rescued a little old lady from the jaws of a Virgin train ticket inspector; only to be arrested for begging.
His subsequent story of the event secured Tom several awards including the Chortle Best Show Award, and a nomination for the main Edinburgh Comedy Award. This led to a sell out tour of the UK, and runs at the New Zealand Comedy Festival and prestigious Montreal Comedy Festival.
“Destined for the dizzy heights” NME “The ultimate crowd pleaser” The Guardian
“Comedy giant…Tom Wrigglesworth is definitely one of the big name comedians of the future” Time Out
Alice Fraser
ALICE IS AN AWARD WINNING WRITER, BROADCASTER, PERFORMER AND COMEDIAN.
She's also an ex academic, ex-corporate Lawyer and (sort of) banjo player.
Alice has recently finished a tour of the world with her critically acclaimed solo shows The Resistance, and Savage, which received four and five star reviews and packed out houses in Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide, New Zealand, London and the Edinburgh Fringe.
“There’s something almost literary about Alice Fraser’s incisive, dextrous hour of compelling storytelling: the way she brings characters to vivid life, then resolves their narratives to a bigger picture illuminating what we could pretentiously call the human condition. And if that sounds rather grand, The Resistance is as silly as it is smart, undercutting astute insight with a daft pun or jaunty tune on her banjo.”— Steve Bennett for Chortle (UK)
Alex Hylton
Alex Hylton is one of the fastest rising comics in the Midlands and a presenter and writer for BlueMoonRisingTv. A youthful, energetic new act with relatable anecdotes of adolescence, mixing in one-liners and a smudge of surrealism to create a likable and unique style, Alex is tipped by many to go all the way.
‘A really confident performer, hard to believe he’s only been going a year, set seems well structured and very comfortable on stage!’ – Colin Manford, Manford’s Comedy Clubs
Hayley Ellis
Manchester comedian and former regular contributor to XFM's breakfast show, Hayley Ellis has gone from strength to strength since she began performing. A regular MC at gigs around the country, Hayley’s natural warmth and charm make her impossible to dislike*, something which has become evident in her success in new act competitions throughout the UK.
"Hayley Ellis is fast becoming Manchester’s Funniest female" Steve Wright, Radio 2
"Destined for comedy greatness. Don’t be surprised if you see Hayley Ellis on your TV soon, and I don't mean on Crimewatch. One of the hottest comedy prospects going."
Jim Salveson, Producer XFM Manchester Breakfast Show
Why not either booking online or pop into the Borough and ask a member of staff. You can book up until 4pm on the day of the show assuming we haven't already sold out.
We also have the Wine and Dine offer on so book a table in the restaurant before the show and with two main courses have yourself a free bottle of wine! (thats not to be laughed at!)
Any questions? ring 01524 64170.
Please note: Due to the high standard of comedians we bring to The Borough it isn't unusual to lose one to TV, overseas or corporate commitments so all tickets are sold on the basis that acts are subject to change.
