Description
- A reimagining of Bizet’s famous masterpiece by Peter Brook. Collaborating with composer Marius Constant, Brook focused his work on the tragic tale of the four characters who lie at the heart of the original piece. Their intense interaction creates a moving and thought-provoking drama, filled with much of Bizet’s wonderful music including Carmen’s ‘Habanera’, Escamillo’s Toreador Song and Don José’s Flower Song. Dark and thrilling, our version will see Don José looking back at what happened through a series of flashbacks. A familiar tale, but not as you expect it…
Freemasonry is renowned for its discretion and secret rituals, but the Andaz Hotel's Masonic Temple became secret even to the Masons themselves. It was boarded up during WW2 and forgotten about for decades, until it was unexpectedly discovered during later construction. To this day it remains one of London's best kept secrets.
