Description
Since 1631 every 21st November the whole city of Venice celebrates the Madonna della Salute (The Lady of Health), in sign of gratitude for the end of the plague, which affected the city during those years. The traditional main dish for this festivity is la Castradina, a rustic cured mutton and cabbage stew, whose recipe dates back to 1700. It is definitely a dish not for the faint of palate, but a forgotten and unusual taste.
Komida will join the kitchen team of Ombra in East London to delight London foodies with forgotten and rediscovered dishes from the Venetian tradition. An occasion not to be missed for the palates looking for an authentic gastronomic experience.
The set menu includes a complementary glass of prosecco on arrival.
