Knife Skills (short course)
Before you can cook, you need to learn basic knife skills! On this course you will use a selection of Zwilling Henkel professional knives, regarded by chefs as the best in the industry.
On this course you will learn how to:
- Choose the correct knife for the right job
- How to sharpen a knife
- Slice, chop and dice a selection of vegetables
- Fillet a round fish
- Coarsely chop meat to make your very own burger
The course begins with an introduction by our professional chef tutors who have between them decades of experience within the industry, as well as complimentary refreshments.
Once you have completed this course you will have been taught many tricks of the trade and the art of chopping, slicing, dicing and filleting.
Zwilling Henkel knives will be available to purchase on the day.
Please note that tickets are non refundable.
Please present your ticket at reception B&H Buildings, 10-15 minutes ahead of the class start time.
About the Kitchen
Having launched in March 2016, The B&H Kitchen offers a range of well-devised, informal cookery classes and short courses for all levels, from complete novices to seasoned professionals. Covering everything from knife skills to baking, butchery to bread making, and led by Executive Chef, Adam Gray, the classes make excellent gifts and can be tailored around large groups.
The latest addition to Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings in Clerkenwell, the B&H Kitchen has been carefully and lovingly designed to offer a functional, streamlined and beautiful environment, the perfect setting to learn new skills in comfort. Each class takes place in our light and spacious kitchen and ends with everyone sampling their efforts together, seated around the large bespoke dining table, accompanied by a specially-made cocktail from the bar below.

I have not received my Knife Skills (short course) ticket via email. What should I do?
The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your Knife Skills (short course) tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you.
