KIRTAN Join our Jivamukti Yoga teachers Harriet Bone and Luis Valentine for an hour of devotional chanting.
The word 'Kirtan' comes from the Sanskrit root 'kir', which means 'to cut', to cut through the thinking mind and obtain freedom from delusion and separation.
Nada Yoga- the yoga of sound is one of the 5 tenets of Jivamukti Yoga, thus music and chanting is an essential part of this method. Using call and response chanting, we will be exploring simple sanskrit chants and mantras from the Jivamukti chant book, many of which you will recognise from class. Join us to shift your vibrations, tune your frequencies, cut through the mundane and go beyond...
All levels and traditions of practitioner is welcome.
