Katie Norris – New Show

Katie Norris is a comedian, actress and singer, best known for her work as one-half of the critically-acclaimed double act Norris & Parker. Their show See You at the Gallows was one of the best reviewed shows at the Edinburgh Fringe 2016 and was featured in The Guardian’s top 10 best comedy shows of the year and their 2018 show Burn the Witch sold out in Edinburgh and London and was a top pick in The Guardian, The Evening Standard and The Independent. The pair made their long awaited return to the Fringe in 2022 with their show Sirens, which transferred to the Soho Theatre in January 2023. She recently won the Musical Comedy Awards earlier this year.

Rob Auton – The Rob Auton Show

“After doing nine shows on themes- The Yellow Show, The Sky Show, The Face Show, water, sleep, hair, talking, time, crowds, I'm using my tenth themed hour to explore the person that I know the most about- me, Rob Auton. This will be the most personal show I’ve done so far. Instead of putting the word yellow into the middle of the spider diagram like I did for the Yellow Show I’m putting my name in the middle. I am the most well equipped person in the world to write a show about me and how I feel and what I think should be in the show. The show is me throwing a rope with a magnet on the end into the river of my past and seeing what emerges when I pull the magnet up from the depths of myself. The good thing about my past is that it is similar to other people's past, I have a childhood to talk about and I can now speak as an adult about that. I'm using the show to really think about what has happened to me in my life, the amount of sports my parents tried to get me into was incredible. I played cricket for a team for three years and didn’t score one competitive run. I want to zoom in on memories that have seemed mundane to me and blow them up to create a story for me and the audience to look at. I will talk about events that have shaped me such as my first job in a violent restaurant where I became known as the crab cake kid, to my job in a haunted supermarket, to my job in advertising which led me to start performing at poetry nights. I will talk about my love of ten pin bowling on my own on weekday mornings, how sometimes when I play golf I do a better shot if I think about my wife. The Rob Auton show is me trying to paint a full picture of myself so I can look at it and move into the future knowing I’ve really done a deep dive into my own life.” Rob Auton

“Charming, eccentric and uplifting, Auton is a talent to watch.” The Independent

“Poetical, philosophical, humane, completely charming and funny to boot.” The Guardian

“Funny, baffling and deeply moving.” The Telegraph
