Bringing the James Webb Space Telescope to Life', a public talk by Dr Emma Curtis-Lake, UK STFC Webb Fellow at the University of Hertfordshire from 7:30pm Friday 13th May 2022.Dr Curtis-Lake will be joining us remotely from her base in Hertfordshire
Wells & Mendip Astronomers will be celebrating the JWST mission just a few weeks before the first science images are due to be released in June. Dr Curtis-Lake will tell us about the telescope and its science goals, along with her own contributions to the truly groundbreaking research that this telescope will generate.
The meeting will be held in person in the lecture theatre of Wells & Mendip Museum, 8 Cathedral Green Wells BA5 2UE (use the side arch entrance). Attendance is free for WMA members. There is a charge at the door for visitors: £3 single, £5 family, £2 students in full time education. The talk will also be streamed on Zoom with tickets available in the usual way on our Billetto ticketing site, free for WMA members, £3 charge for non-members.
