Description
In this amazing live link up between Space Detectives and Captain Bob from "Rockets and Robots" in the USA, we will investigate the International Space Station from its early days right up until the current day and beyond.
During the workshop, we will investigate the life and work of an astronaut on board the ISS, as well as take part in a scientific experiment to grow our own seeds, just like they are doing up in space right now! The finale of the workshop will see participants taking part in a challenge to assemble their very own model of the ISS, using everyday household items, and with the fantastic instructions given by Captain Bob.
This promises to be a fantastic international Space Education Collaboration between 2 companies, both of which aim to inspire the next generation of Space Engineers, Scientists and Explorers.
Captain Bob has strong links to NASA, as his father held a 30 year career with the NASA Armstrong Flight and Research Centre in California. He has also had the honour of meeting both Neil Armstrong and Chuck Yeager.
Suitable for UKS1/KS2 and LKS3 in the UK and for all children from 1st Grade through to 8th Grade.
Please note that Space Detectives holds a full enhanced DBS Certificate as well as full public liability insurance.
