Description
Please note: this training is only for those based in Wales.
Leaders with the necessary skills, knowledge and attributes are integral to the delivery of the John Muir Award. Therefore, the John Muir Trust is offering a one-day leader training on Friday 17th March 2023, to give you the opportunity to discover how to deliver the John Muir Award in Wales.
This training will provide you with information, ideas, and resources which are designed to give enough guidance to deliver the Award. It is an opportunity to find out more about the ethos of the John Muir Award and practicalities of delivering it. We are providing a complementary, thorough introduction, with opportunities to network with others interested in running the Award, and to further develop skills and confidence.
Attending training is not a requirement to be able to run the John Muir Award, however it will be beneficial for you, your work, and your professional development.
This training is open to anyone based in Wales who is looking to run the John Muir Award, including teachers and staff members from educational institutions, youth workers, outdoor instructors, and those working in the voluntary sector.
This training will be held on Friday 17th March 2023 at Coed-Y-Brenin visitor centre, near Dolgellau. The training will start at 9am and the aim is to be finished by 4pm. Tea and coffee will be provided, and we are also currently looking at providing a light lunch for attendees.
This training day is free due to funding from Natural Resources Wales.
