Description
The Jazz Poet meets the powerful free-improv duo of Alan Wilkinson and Steve Noble. There will be blood. Come join the fun.
This is Jazz-Poetry like they used to do in the 60s, albeit with a contemporary edge. Inspired by the Beat Generation and the jazz-poetry of Langston Hughes, and propulsed by freely improvised jazz. Quirky performance poet performs with powerful improvisers. Delivered with delightful risqué humour. Come along and rejoice with us at this fantastic Hackney venue.
Perform with us
Bring short pieces of your own poetry/spoken word and perform in the second set. Limited numbers. First come, first serve. Register your interest on the day, at the venue.
Alan Wilkinson: saxes | Taran: poetry/spoken word | Steve Noble: drums
