Join us for a special evening of learning, compassion and connection

James W Jesso is a Canadian-born storyteller, an independent author and public speaker. His two full-length books, Decomposing The Shadow and The True Light Of Darkness, speak deeply about his experiences and discoveries in learning with Psilocybin as a spiritual ally. His writings and lectures step far beyond just the psychedelic experience and into psychology, relationships, spirituality, and Consciousness, sexuality, mind/body, and nutrition and brain health. He is also the host of Adventures Through The Mind Radio Podcast.

Statistically speaking, psilocybin use correlates with increased compassion and empathy. This correlation is not a trivial metric. It expresses a profound connection between our capacity to feel and our capacity for authentic relationships with the world around us. Furthermore, by examining this correlation from a trauma-informed, psychotherapeutic framework, we find an understanding of emotional healing and healthy emotional processes, with or without psilocybin on board.
This lecture will explore the essence of compassion and how a lack of it is related to early childhood trauma and emotional repression. Furthermore, it will explore the potential of psilocybin in the resolution of emotional trauma and the cultivation of healthier relationships.

James is also offering integration coaching sessions whilst he is in Edinburgh, please get in touch with us for more details.
