Description
After very successful events in 2016, 2017 and 2018, the IV Oxford Symposium on Comparative International Commercial Arbitration will take place on Friday, 15 November 2019, at the University of Oxford (Wolfson College).
The event is co-organised by the Commercial Law Centre (University of Oxford), the Oxford International Arbitration Society and the EDUCA Foundation.
Our sponsors are Centre for Arbitration and Mediation (CAM-CCBC); Pinheiro Neto Advogados; Lex Finance; Mannheimer, Perez e Lyra Advogados; Debevoise & Plimpton; WilmerHale; PLMJ; Justen, Pereira, Oliveira & Talamini Advogados; and Cesar Asfor Rocha Advogados.
The event also has the institutional support of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC); the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators – Brazil Branch (CIArb-Brazil); TDM/OGEMID; Kluwer; Club Español del Arbitraje; the Brazilian Arbitration Committee (CBAr); the Brazilian Institute of Civil Procedural Law (IBDP); the Chamber of Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration CIESP/FIESP; Câmara de Mediação e Arbitragem Empresarial – Brasil (CAMARB); and Centro de Arbitragem & Mediação AMCHAM.
The full-day event will be an incredible opportunity to discuss issues related to international commercial arbitration with specialists from the UK, continental Europe, Asia and the Americas. The conference will have 16 panellists and a special interview with Mr Alan Redfern. Based on our previous experiences, we expect an audience of around 100-120 people, mostly comprised of practitioners, academics and students interested in arbitration.
It would be a pleasure and an honour to have you on board!
Lunch and coffee breaks are included.
PLEASE NOTE THAT TICKETS WILL NOT BE SOLD ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT. SALES END ON 14.11.2019, 2:00PM (GMT)
