Description
Istanbul meets London for a third time in this exquisite group exhibition.
From sculpture, marbling art and painting to jewelry, nine famous Turkish artists come together for demonstrating their talents, experiences and emotions through their own art and to show Londoners’ that how one small piece of art can change everything.
The other previous two Istanbul Meets London made a tremendous impact and shook up the London art scene, and this time it is going to be even more tremendous.
Exhibiting artists who lives in England and Turkey, this exhibition aims to breath a new experience into art lovers who enjoy diversity through art.
From a miniature artist, Nerkiz Akcura, who has also been working with naive impressionist style with other artists and whose works were used in international art magazines and scientific journals, Nazan Kuscu, who has been painting for around 19 years and organized seminars for art history, archaeology and mythology in ancient Greek, Roman and Byzantine times, to Belgin Sahin, whose sculptures mostly reflects the problems of women in general and the contemporary predicament of women in our times and who strives to catch in stances of this predicament over the entire human spectrum, this group exhibition also has Ayse Ozlem Yuksel who has been performing marble art for more than 15 years, starting with being in workshops of profound teachers of the marble art and coming to the level to have her own workshops for her students, Zehra Efe, whose work has a striking beauty so profound that you may lost in her colors, Seher Eyri Genc, who uses social themes and in-depth figures in her paintings, Yasemin Sari Bayer, whose paintings will make you stand on such a sweet end that effects you deeply, Gulden Belen, whose jewelry and designs are inspired by Anatolian culture, her creations combining the imagination, affection and skills of an artisan with sterling silver and semi-precious gemstones. And Saba Caglar Guneyli, whose love of underwater and nature reflects her painting career which has been flowing tremendously since she opened her first solo exhibition in 1997.
This time around, this diversity will also support a greater cause.
