Irie Yo-Yo

Sep 01 2017 21:00 - 23:00

The Drouthy Cobbler, 48 a High St, IV30 1BU Elgin

Since its inception as a reggae/ska trio in 2015, Irie Yo-Yo has grown into an 8-piece band with drum and bass, jazz, salsa and dub making their way into the mix, producing an eclectic and engaging sound with infectious grooves and plenty of bounce. They've been working hard to get feet moving and heads bobbing around Scotland: in 2016, they appeared at Eden and Audio Soup festivals, supported Gentleman's Dub Club, and played dozens of gigs in Edinburgh, including a packed schedule with several residencies during the Fringe festival, as well as making their way further afield to Inverness.

2017 is set to be an exciting year for this hard working, fast rising group, with a return to Inverness, a support slot alongside Macka B at Edinburgh's Wee Dub Festival, a UK tour planned for Summer and as many festivals as possible.
