IP lawyer, Zain Ali of Centuro Global, will be speaking alongside guests including Alex Athienitis of EdTech startup, Ed Shed, on the best tactics to exploit your Intellectual Property to both scale and protect your business.
Apple reached a trillion dollar valuation in 2019, and 80% of that value arises from their intellectual property. Every company will have some form of IP that they own or can own, yet many businesses are not even aware of some of the IP that exists within their company, let alone how to exploit it.

The speakers:
An IP lawyer by background and now CEO of Centuro Global, Zain will take you through the core forms of IP, namely trade marks, patents, copyright and design rights, as well as his top tips, do’s and don’ts and ways to get ahead of the competition.
Zain will also undertake a fireside chat with Alex Athienitis, Director of EdTech start up Education Shed: an innovative online platform providing educational resources globally. They will discuss how the company exploited trade marks to scale their brand globally across 102 countries with over two million users of their technology. They will also discuss how Ed Shed protect themselves from competition, as well as key considerations in how the startup went about creating this strategy.
