Introduction to Investigative Journalism

Tom Sanderson from the Centre for Investigative Journalism presents an overview of some of the basics of investigative journalism techniques, including using open data, company accounts info, social media and open source intelligence. These are tools that could help uncover information that could generate hard hitting stories for your campaigns and organising.

Tom’s recent projects with the CIJ have focused on supporting new models of community and non-profit journalism with investigative training. He is a member of the Detention Forum NGO association and sits on the Legal Action Committee of the Global Legal Action Network.

Come along this evening if you're interested in learning some investigative journalism skills!
