Description

My name is Sheryar Nawaz i am a business owner of a takeaway, a volunteer and a charity events organiser. I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to sit down and enjoy at least one good christmas dinner during the festive season. I want our community to come together, help each other and spread the word. The dinner is free of charge and is especially for homeless and vulnerable people. Several people have contributed to fund this dinner and i want to provide a warm, welcoming service. It is short notice but most venues will be shut over christmas period or are fully booked and therefore this is the most convenient time. I hope the word will spread and people will come and enjoy this opportunity.

According to Hull Live news article from january 2018, the number of homeless people in Hull has risen 87 percent since 2016. It is currently at its highest and there are more people on the streets than ever before. Many of these people have no one to turn to and concerning factors are that the colder it gets the more difficult it is for them to keep warm. We can keep these people warm by providing hot drinks and food. As a community we are responsible to make sure we do our part and give a helping hand to those who most need it.

Please spread the word to those you feel deserve this, thank you.
