The 508 Gallery have teamed up with RadoArt in a collaborative exhibition Imaginative Abstracts.
RadoArtrepresent Eastern European artists mainly from Russia, Ukraine and Lithuania.
Established artists Marijus Balcius, Audrius Gražys and Virginijus Valskis will be showcasing in this unique visual exhibition. All artworks exhibited explore diverse styles emerging from the abstract expressionism umbrella.
The aim of this exhibition is to shape the minds of the viewer, sparking our imaginative process. These abstract artworks do not impose a particular figure, place or topic but instead aim to engage the viewer to be thoughtful and share a time and an experience.
Award winning artist Marijus Balcius is best known for his optical illusions, where composition of geometric forms create an illusion of movement, this theme is frequent in his signature style.
International artist Audrius Gražys is actively producing artworks that are exhibited worldwide. Audrius adapts to his surroundings, creating abstract paintings which provoke a sense of a landscape. His practice involves a highly intense process of applying six or seven layers to create depth and illusion.
Virginijus Valskis is intentionally enticing a dialog between the observer and the artwork. Interaction is an important part of his concept. He is interested in texture and surface qualities. Even though he is an abstract artist he includes elements of antiquity in his work by combining simple shapes with gold colour.
