ICM Without Waggling your Camera with Celia Henderson
ICM without waggling your camera
When you get Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) right in camera, it is a joy – my hit rate isn’t marvellous and I often take 200 to 300 ICMs, panning left and right, up and down, wiggling and jiggling in all directions, sometimes slowly and sometimes quite frenetically! But occasionally, I take a standard image, love the colours and blocks of colours or the slightly out of focus forms that I’ve captured and wonder, what would that look like if I had tried an ICM?
In this 90 minute workshop we will look at how Photoshop can:
Apply the effects of intentional camera movement with tools and techniques that emulate left to right panning, up and down movement, irregular camera movement (figure of eight, gentle curved sweeps)
Control the speed of movement
Utilise Motion blur, Shape Blur and Path Blurs for best ICM effects
ICM effects created with multiple layers and blend modes
We continue to help you in your learning – as an attendee of this workshop you are invited to an open workshop along with delegates from our other creative workshops – come and chat informally, ask question, get some more help, show your work, just drop in to listen or learn.
