Description
Hot Plates is an exciting new pop-up opening in the heart of Shoreditch, the restaurant is the brain-child of two friends who work in tech that want to combine their passion for quality food with their knowledge of technology. With the meat coming directly from Smithfields the menu is focused on quality not quantity. Considering the proximity to Silicon Roundabout customers will be placing orders using iPads.
The food is inspired by restaurants such as Burger & Lobster and Flat Iron, who do only one or two things, but do them exceptionally well. Each table will be given a red hot plate on which they will sizzle their selection of premium cut beef sourced from Smithfield meat market. There will be 4 delicious marinades to choose from, all created by ex-Masterchef contestant Charlie Wethered, who now runs his own food company Quail London and an ex Gaucho chef . The meat is marinated for at least 6 hours, and includes a specialty Mexican marinade that is served cold.
A true passion project, the pair are going to be donating all profits from the restaurant to the fund raising community Raise Your Hands.
Hot Plates is open Wed - Sat evenings 6.30pm - 11.30pm.
