Description

HOT MESS SUPPER CLUB with Rosie Lovell & Rosie French

For the first in an ongoing series of supper clubs at The White Horse we welcome two undisputed doyennes of South London's culinary community for a very special sit-down dinner.

On Wednesday 23rd November ROSIE LOVELL (Rosie's Cafe) and ROSIE FRENCH (French & Grace) bring the HEAT with a five course tasting menu centred around their love of spice, balanced with cooling & earthy Autumnal flavours. Chilli heat stimulates the release of endorphins - our body's natural painkillers - resulting in a mild high which Hot Mess intends to amplify with a menu exploring heat sources and their cooling counterparts from across the globe.

THE CHEFS

ROSIE LOVELL
Opening her first Cafe-Deli in 2003, Rosie Lovell was one of Brixton's earliest proponents. Since then she's published two cookbooks (Supper With Rosie and Spooning With Rosie) and opened a new premises on Peckham Rye.

ROSIE FRENCH
Another regular feature amid the bustle of Brixton Village, Rosie French and her culinary co-conspirator Ellie Grace opened their eponymous eatery French & Grace in 2011 after winning numerous awards for their blog Salad Club.

THE VENUE

Owned and operated by Parched London, The White Horse is an independent Free House on Peckham Rye. Combining traditional values with contemporary considerations, the wood-paneled pub boasts a spacious dining room which was recently revamped with the help of London Terrariums and is now filled with hanging baskets and shelves full of beautiful indoor plants.

Currently hosting our new pop-up cocktail bar, The Donkey Sanctuary, the room will also provide the space for this ongoing series of supper clubs. Like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter to find out more about these as we announce them.
