On from from last months roadblock sound meeting we welcome another sound system into the Hometown Sessions dancehall:
- YT & Ashanti Yard Sound System (Ipswich)

- Tom Spirals, Campeazi & Hometown Sound System
Established in 1968, Ashanti Yard has always been a staple of UK sound system culture, promoting Jamaican music fir over 50 years. YT is an artist that needs no introduction to the Hometown massive; a longtime friend, the lyrical activist first touched mic on Ashanti at their local Ipswich session in 1987, before progressing on to become an artist in his own right.
In keeping with the trend, both sound systems will be set up in the place on the night with their own control areas on opposite sides of the dancehall, with each sound taking turns to flash it's own style throughout the session.
Hometown Sessions is a place where all people are welcome regardless colour, creed, race, appearance, ability or sexuality. Please respect the venue, the sound systems, those around around you and yourself - enjoy the session!
