Please join us on 22nd January at 10am at the Leeds Regional Centre or online in commemorating Holocaust Memorial Day 2024.
Holocaust Memorial Day (27th January) was established as an International Day of Commemoration in 2000 and marks the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau. It is a day of remembrance for those killed under Nazi persecution as well in other genocides across the world.
We are honoured to host Ernie Hunter, who will share his mother's (Fanny Höchstetter) testimony and experience as a child under Nazi occupation.
We're very grateful that Angela MacDonald, HMRC Second Permanent Secretary and Deputy Chief Executive, will be joining us at the event.

Details (In-person)
The event will be held at the HMRC Leeds Regional Centre Business Events Centre (BEC) 7&8 Wellington Place , Wellington Street ,Leeds , LS1 4AP) and is open to all HMRC colleagues and other civil servants based in the Leeds Regional Centre.
Please note if you do not have a Common Civil Service Pass you will need to obtain a guess pass and be escorted to the room (please wait in reception and we will come and meet you).
If you have a CCSP but do not have access to the regional centre, please sign in with reception and obtain an unescorted pass.
If attending in-person you must sign-up for a ticket as we may be unable to accommodate arrivals without advance notice.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the event begins. All vacant seats remaining at 9:50 will be distributed to other colleagues to ensure we are at full capacity.
If you can no longer attend in-person, please cancel so that someone else may have the opportunity to attend.
Please do not bring your own drinks unless they have a lid.
