JAMIE SAFIR Opening the London Jazz festival, we are very excited for the return of our Artist in Residence, Jamie Safir who brings his fine young trio for an evening of great piano music. Jamie is much in demand as an accompanist and artist across the worlds of jazz and pop music and was recently featured on the Decca Solo Piano Album ‘Alone Together’. He works regularly with Will Young & Birdy, and is part of a trio with award-winning jazz stars Ian Shaw & Iain Ballamy. Tonight he presents an evening of original music, influenced by Bill Evans & Herbie Hancock, alongside unique takes on some lesser-known gems from the Great American Songbook. "Safir plays with wonderful judgment, delicacy and alertness" - London Jazz News "Jamie on piano was riveting. I got the nightbus home, Oh the glamour!" - Julian Clary
