Description
Join us for a free 8pm screening of Fearless, a new documentary sharing
the stories of six quite different women who migrated to the UK in the
postwar period. As young women they left their homes in commonwealth
countries to answer post WWII Britain’s call for workers. What happened next? Fearless offers intimate portraits of six lives, drawn with much care and laughter.
From 6pm-8pm a Windrush Surgery with free advice from the Windrush Justice Clinic and Roland Houslin, co-founder, Justice for Windrush Generations will be available.
Come for the Windrush Surgery, stay for the film, and a Q&A with the filmmakers Damian Daniel and Noella Mingo and Dr Juanita Cox, the UK's leading oral historian working with Caribbean communities.
This History on Film screening is in collaboration with Goldsmiths Centre for Caribbean and Diaspora Studies Centre and the Institute of Historical Research.
