Description

Join us as we welcome Hera Lindsay Bird and Rebecca Tamás for an afternoon poetry reading. Please note that the event is free to attend but space is limited so please RSVP if you'd like to come.

Hera Lindsay Bird is a poet from Wellington, NZ. She has an MA in poetry from the International Institute of Modern Letters where she won the 2011 Adam Prize for best folio. Her debut, self titled book of poetry Hera Lindsay Bird was published in July 2016 with Victoria University Press and Penguin UK in November 2017 and Pamper Me To Hell & Back was published by the Poetry Society in 2018. She won the Jessie McKay Best First Book Award in 2017, The Sarah Broom Poetry Prize in 2017 and was an Arts Foundation New Generation Laureate in 2017. She has performed with musicians such as Nadia Reid and Aldous Harding. She likes murder mysteries, watching figure skating and pissing in the shower.

Rebecca Tamás is Associate Lecturer in Comparative Literature at Goldsmiths, University of London. She has had two poetry pamphlets published, Savage (Clinic Press) and The Ophelia Letters (Salt). Her work has also been published in The White Review, Poetry Review, Poetry London, and The London Review of Books, amongst others and she was the joint winner of the 2016 Manchester Poetry Prize. She is currently the 2017 Fenton Arts Trust Emerging Writer.

    The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services.
