    Description

    HEIMAT

Heimat are a French band comprised of famous figures of french underground, Armelle Oberlé (The Dreams, Badaboum) and Olivier Demeaux (Cheveu, Accident Du Travail)

"Almost as if John Carpenter, RZA, and The Slits made a record together.”

When Heimat released their 1st LP in 2016, Dangerous Minds placed it in “the same weird territory as PiL’s Flowers of Romance and the Residents’ Not Available.”
And The Quietus’ David Mckenna noted that “various ancient cultures are clashing here, or so it seems – (shaped) into fascinating ziggurats. ‘Wieder Ja!’, ‘Pompei’ and ‘Afrikastan’ are strange monuments I could stare at all day.”

Since that, having been praised by bands like Protomartyr, Algiers, and Blues Control's Russ Waterhouse, Heimat have been touring and playing festivals with postpunk acts like Protomartyr and This Is Not This Heat.
And been played numerously by DJs like Elena Colombi or Trevor Jackson on NTS, WFMU and other radios.

Zwei, the second album of the band (2021) has been praised by the french Press (Libération, Inrocks, Gonzaï) and the Quietus says :
"Its successor retains some of the key features of the debut, such as the macabre mood and Oberle’s incantatory vocals, but this feels like an armour-plated upgrade"
Heimat has released a remix LP of their track in November 2022 containing takes of the legend Sonic Boom, famous slow techno Tolouse low trax tracks and promising Zohar among the others.

    HARRGA

HARRGA (‘a burn’ in the Moroccan Darija dialect) is a duo formed by producer and philosopher Miguel Prado (Nzumbe) and experimental vocalist and improviser Dali de Saint Paul (EP/64,Ondata Rossa, Viridian Ensemble).
Their first album “Héroïques Animaux de la Misère” ((2019 Avon Terror Corps) was a critically acclaimed meditation on the horror of that which crevasses borders, with Moor Mother as guest vocalist. Since this release, the 3 artists have collaborated again; Dali appearing on Analog Fluids of Sonic Black holes (2019) and Moor Mother releasing Harrga’s track Urban Blues on her own label BlackMas5 Records (2022). The collaboration is due to continue in 2023.
In the midst of the pandemic, Harrga were among the first artists released on Takuroku Label. Pushing boundaries to deliver an unusual cinematic musical drama exploring violence towards women, Femmes d’Intérieur expresses the duo's fears for those trapped behind closed doors. Harrga appeared on several international compilations, the latest one being Future Chorus (2023 Hypermedium) where human and non-human voices were mixed.
Harrga have been exploring new sonic territories with Dali de Saint Paul mixing poetics and politics, using multiple languages and Miguel Prado creating singular, amorphous noise-design, they conjure a thoroughly anomalous vision of contemporary industrial.
