    Description

~ Le Concert des Oiseaux: Harpsichord works inspired by birds and birdsongs ~

    Masumi Yamamoto, harpsichord

Many composers throughout music history have been inspired by birds and birdsongs. Some say that the development of music started by imitating birds. This programme explores representations of birds and birdsongs in French harpsichord compositions of the eighteenth-century, and includes solo works by Couperin, Rameau, Dornel, Duphly, Dandrieu and Daquin.

This concert is part of a one-day event organised by Dulwich Music Festival. More information can be found on the event page:
