During these intense four days of performative rigour, physical detail, playfulness and vocal exploration, Hannes will share his accumulative experience from over a decade of performing, making and teaching.
Each day will consist of a colourful schedule of physical training, vocal practice, theatrical situations, games and creative tasks. The interplay of these will allow us to uncover and move fully through the three worlds which form the basis of Hannes’ work:
emotion; knowledge and instinct.
This workshop is aimed at curious dancers and performers who want to light up every corner of their performative practice, challenge their physical work, look closer at the meaning behind movement and push their experience of physical, vocal and theatrical work.
Hannes has worked and collaborated with numerous artists and companies throughout Europe. These names include William Forsythe, Angélin Preljocaj, Wayne McGregor, Akram Khan, Fabulous Beast and Punchdrunk to name a few.
For the last eleven years he has been a member of DV8 Physical Theatre and since 2014 he is the company’s Creative Associate. He performed in DV8’s productions “To Be Straight With You”, “Can We Talk About This” and the title role in “JOHN”.
His own work has been commissioned by The London Eye Company, Munich Dance Festival, The Onassis Cultural Center in Athens and the Susanne Linke Dance Company amongst others.
Hannes is also a certified Yoga teacher and has completed his Teacher Training under the guidance of Cat Alip-Douglas at the renowned Sangyé Yoga School in London.
