Feature Guest FELIX ORLO
Felix Orlo is a queer performance poet, comedian, theatre maker & lead shirker in her band Felix & The Eggy Boys. Creator of the fabulous collective, The Bobolyne Poets, (from 2017). She's the editor and illustrator of poetry zine, Tommyrot! And she's the co-parent of Hackney based stand-up night, Sheena's House of Fun, showcasing a wild mix of unusual comedians & musical comics.

Hammer & Tongue is a live poetry and spoken word night, from the organisers of the "best poetry gigs in Europe, hands-down"!
The night includes: a featured set from a top poet, our winners from the previous month, return for a 10 minute set and then...
we have the Open Mic Slam of course!

Please note, we won't let you contend in consecutive months.
AT THIS TIME THE VENUE HAS LIMITED DISABLED ACCESS. WITH 2 STEPS TO ENTER THE BUILDING AND 18 STEPS DOWN TO THE LOWER LEVEL WHERE THE SLAM TAKES PLACE.
The Rules:
Each poet gets 3.5minutes on stage - clock starts as soon as you start talking, points deducted if you go over
Spoken word only - no instruments or backing tracks
5 audience judges give scores out of 10 to one decimal place. We take the highest and lowest scores off and add up the 3 middle scores.
Top score wins.
