Description

The best slam poetry spoken word night in London, with feature slots from the best rappers and poets, and an open mic slam. Hosted by the Hackney Hammer and Tongue crew: Sam Berkson, Hoda Ahmed, Sam Siva and Richard Purnell.

FEATURING:

MC Angel: Rapper and poet, who has featured on Radio 1xtra and Channel 4, toured with Asian Dub Foundation and played at festivals and gigs around the UK. Her recently published memoir telling of her experiences growing up as a white working-class, queer woman on a Camden council estate, has attracted positive reviews and prominent publicity.

Stephen Morrison- Burke: Former Birmingham Poet Laureate and National Poetry Slam Champion, Kit de Waal Scholarship Winner, and a gentleman in the making.

The opening set will be from last month's slam winner, the brilliant Tokidoki Ju.

With DJ Alex Patten.

Open mic slam is open to the first eight poets who sign up on the night.

  • I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?

    The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services.
