Grow a Gardener is a project to help people who want to learn how to set-up, manage and maintain a community garden. This regular course is designed around our own experiences of running a community space and the needs of community gardeners. It includes practical and theoretical guidance and all participants join our network which provides other practical workshops and networking opportunities to meet our cohort of gardeners.
This one day course will cover the following:
- Design & building your space
- Legal issues
- Getting people involved
The course is suited to people:
- already involved in a community gardening project
- interested in starting a new community gardening project
- community gardening volunteering looking to deeper their skills and experience
The course will take place at our studio on Well Street and at Cordwainers Garden. Light refreshments will be provided. Please bring your own packed lunch (or you can buy something from a nearby cafe).
