Location

Date

Nov 28 2017 19:00 - 23:00

Description

Greater [than] London?

London is a city of innovation and opportunity as well as of deprivation and poverty, but the UK as a whole is Greater [than] London.

The Event

Beer Here will be an exploration of the complexities of a country that seems increasingly divided by politics, wealth inequality and resource division.

And we'll be celebrating what makes the rest of the UK great with:

  • Regional food and drink offerings from Kitchenette Karts (mulled wine! 🍷)
  • A series of fast-paced talks style to get you thinking
  • Interactive art installations and live music

So join us on a chill November evening at Grow and let's burst the London bubble for a while.

FIRST SPEAKER AT 1930

Speakers

The Good Things Foundation are a digital and social inclusion charity working with and designing services for 5,000+ centres. As part of this aim, they help the government and other organisations all around the UK know the role they can play in creating a fully digital nation.

More speakers to be announced!

Food

The amazing, award winning sandwich people from Kitchenette Karts will be with us for the evening serving delightful modern takes on regional favs. Here's the sort of thing they're thinking of doing:

A Vegan One / Surprise cosmopolitan middle eastern vibes

A Veggie One / South West vibes with Stilton + spinach

A Meaty One / Midlands Bacon + stewed leeks and apple

Tickets

The Friend deal means you'll have one sweet ticket between two of you and a drink each. This is by far the best deal.

Drinks will be sold for around £3 at the venue. You save a quid by getting them in advance here.

*Sorry about the fees, we don't add those, they go to Billetto 😅*

Organiser

Beer Here is a meet up for socially conscious Londoners. We get serious about today's problems in a seriously fun way, so expect drinks, food, and play.

FAQ

  • I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. Alternatively, you can always find your tickets in your Billetto account that you can access in the browsers or the dedicated Billetto app. For more help with this, read here.

  • I wish to cancel my ticket and receive a refund. What should I do?

The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you. To get in touch with the event organiser, simply reply to your order confirmation email or use the "Contact organiser" form on the organiser's profile. For more help with this, read here.

  • I have registered on the waiting list, what happens now?

If more tickets become available you will be notified (by email) amongst others who have joined the list. Purchasing is on a first-come first-serve basis. For more information, read here.

  • Where do I find a link to an online event?

Check your order confirmation page or order confirmation email. Usually, the organiser of the event provides the details in the order confirmation email or they might send you a follow-up email with a link to their online event. You might also want to read the event description on Billetto where an event organiser should describe how to join the event online. For more information on this, read here.

  • What is refund protection and why would I need it?

Refund Protection provides you with the assurance that if unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances interfere with your ability to attend an event you can claim a refund. For more information on this, read here.
