// GANG //
Gang are brothers Eric and Jimi Tormey and adopted sibling Joseph Hunt. Relying on a strong set of ethics, driven by the ethos to ‘do it themselves’, they seek to remain unified, not unaided. “To separate us is to conquer us, and unity is strength”, Jimi explains of their manifesto. “For this reason we surround ourselves with likeminded, creative individuals, forming a community - Gang is a messiah, an illustrator, a photographer, a videographer. We are any and all who aid us. Each of us is branded with a Gang tattoo committing ourselves to unity. D.I.Y, as we know it, is dead – R.I.P to D.I.Y – killed by vapid, lo-fi bedroom pop. We’ll D.I.O until we D.I.E.”
Gang have spent 2016 touring the UK, playing alongside Sub Pop’s So Pitted and US sludge-lords Wand, who Gang will reunite with on a small UK tour through November on the dates below. All of Gang’s music is recorded by Eric in the garage/studio of their father, cult guitarist Bernie Tormé (Ex-Ozzy Osbourne & Atomic Rooster), utilising the weird and wonderful recording equipment that he has collected over the years.
// THE KARMA REPAIR KIT //
The Karma Repair Kit draw influence from grunge, post-punk and noise rock. Combining the wild intensity of Mudhoney with the powerful dynamics of Savages, and the unsettling dissonance of Slint, the band deliver songs that achieve a unique balance of energy and sophistication.
Originally assembled to take Jamie Thomas (Vocals/Guitar) and Alex Hill's (Guitar) home recordings to a live setting, the band have since played shows with Kagoule, Mission of Burma, Traams and Girls Names, as well as slots at Dot to Dot Festival, BBC 6 Music Festival and Truck Festival.
// LEECHES //
Leeches are a bunch of desperate bubbly individuals who've been hurt before and won't suffer fools gladly. Interests include embroidery, nights in by the fire, long walks and debauchery. GSOH, BYOB, ETC.
Formed in the depths of Dorset in the pre-summer haze of 2016, LEECHES are bringing infectious pop hooks to fuzzy alt-rock - a match made in heaven some might say. Their debut single was released in early October 2016, and rumour has it they are on the cusp of releasing a 4 track EP before the end of the year. Who knows...they certainly don’t.
// INSOMNICHORD //
Insomnichord are a six piece progressive rock band from Bristol. They formed in 2015, initially as a psychedelic rock band, but over the last year have developed their sound into a more progressive style. Their songs are ambitious featuring mind warping soundscapes and eclectic song structures. Expect explosions of synths, guitar and drums in between catchy grooves and tight bass hooks. They wear their influences on their sleeves taking elements from the likes of Todd Rundgren, Hawkwind and more recently Tame Impala but manage to create something fresh and worth talking about.
Insomnichord have supported the likes of Nicholas Allbrook, Acid Mothers Temple, Crosa Rosa and She Drew the Gun in 2016 but lately they have been in the studio recording songs for release in 2017.
