Winter Solstice, also known as midwinter, is an astronomical phenomenon marking the day with the shortest period of daylight and the longest night of the year.
It occurs when one of the Earths poles has its maximum tilt away from the Sun. It happens twice yearly, once in each hemisphere.-------------------------------------
Parking.....There are some "Pay and Display Machines nearby", Car Parks or Alternatively there are good public transport routes into the city centre.
There are security bike stands to the front of the libary entrance.
We will be located on the top floor, there is a lift, if you have never been to this building, it truley is a gift to the city, beautiful sweaping stair way, with a roof terraced, overlooking the iconic buildings of the city.
