Fresh is a simple concept, new music and home-made food for £5.
The reason that we make is so cheap is to encourage our audience to take a risk and be curious about music that they might not know. All of the acts are high quality, but often little known. Most of them are young and new, but not all. Often, they are national touring bands mixed with local upcoming talent. The genres are varied but each gig offers a carefully thought-out line up of complimentary acts. The food is simple and homecooked, always veggie with a vegan version, usually some kind of pizza and salad, dhal and rice, chilli etc . We can only guarantee it if tickets are brought online in advance, so we don’t waste food! If you just want the gig only its fine to pay on the door, its still really good value for 3 or 4 performances. The gigs are relaxed, informal and people come on their own and in small groups, there are usually plenty of sofas and comfortable seating around.
