This will be a very special FRESH gig , with a line-up of 4 equally interesting and brave artists creating new music in new ways. You know the deal by now – buy your ticket in advance and you will get dinner with the gig – buy on the door and you may get dinner if there is enough left – but we cant guarantee it. 

A night of advantgarde lofi experimental art, folk, pop and poetry. 

Bell Lungs is a prolific experimental vocalist and multi-instrumentalist from Scotland, responding to, reflecting and forming part of the fractured world we live in. Her performances incorporate mellotron swirls, shrieks and whoops, layered harmonies, baroque pop feels, drone, field recordings and noisebox mayhem to create meditative journeys through sound, centred around a voice David Keenan deemed “elemental” in The Wire.

Michael Clark brings gentle guitar and shadowy vocals with his thoughtful collection of collection of sparse folk music that gently envelops those that find themselves sitting with it.

Raiments are a Berlin-based avant garde musical collective, the brainchild of lead vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Mano Camatsos. Mano’s unorthodox electric guitar style is inspired by hip hop, ethnological recordings and 20th century classical music. His abstract lyrics meet an ever rotating procession of strings, woodwinds, brass and electronics all held down by a locked groove

Halcyon Jane is a new collaboration between Jayne Dent (Me Lost Me) and Halcyon Neumann, based between Newcastle upon Tyne and Hull. Using the voice, guitar and electronic samplers and sequencers; their playful, semi-improvised music evolves spontaneously.
