Take part in a live online FORMcard Workshop with creator Peter Marigold to create a collection of handy, characterful interventions in your home that will help you both take control of the organisation of your immediate everyday environment, and leave you with a positive personal memento of this moment in time. You will be able to make things like hooks, cupboard knobs, iPhone holders, handles or repair damaged objects.
FORMcard is a handy pocket sized card of meltable bio plastic that can be used to make, mend and modify the world around you. Simply using hot water, you can create unique, permanent, instant hand-made plastic objects and fixes. Peter will be a hand to advise and guide you through the making process.
To maximise the output of the workshop, FORMcard packages will be sent out to you in advance alongside a workshop tools list comprising of simple kitchen equipment which most participants will certainly have. (Note: this material has not been touched for months prior to the pandemic outbreak and will be packed with sterile gloves, and then packed into bags which can be discarded once unpacked, leaving only the original material to use with a clear mind).
Peter Marigold is a designer and maker of objects. After completing the M.A. Design Products course at the RCA he established his studio concentrating on a wide variety of objects including furniture, products and artworks. In 2015 he created FORMcard, a meltable bio-plastic product with a far reaching applications for everyday situations which is nowsold globally.
The workshop is open to a maximum of 12 UK based participants on a first come, first served basis. Attendance at the workshop costs £25 (including material) with all proceeds supporting STORE STORE's After school club for local state school students.
