Join pianist Ophelia Gordon for an intimate, genre-blurring performance at Cafe Yukari, Kew. This concert serves as the live culmination of Ophelia’s Master’s Specialism project, exploring the delicate, electric boundary where classical structure meets jazz spontaneity. 

Ophelia will interweave the works of Nikolai Kapustin with timeless jazz standards. By placing Kapustin’s meticulously notated "jazz-classical" compositions alongside the fluid, vocal-led songs that inspired them, the performance reveals the shared soul of these two worlds.

Ophelia will be joined by her sister Madeleine Gordon for these jazz interludes, adding a layer of familial warmth and improvisational spirit to the evening.

This performance follows the critical success of Ophelia’s debut album, Kapustin: Between the Lines (Divine Art Records, 2025). As the first British female pianist to record a full Kapustin album, and the first classical alum of the BRIT School to do so, Ophelia brings a unique, "swinging" authenticity to this repertoire that has been hailed by the industry:
