The Pakistani Kitchen will be holding their hugely anticipated spring supper club 'Food from my Mother's Table'  in the heart of London's exclusive Chelsea. Guests will be treated to a four course meal of authentic Pakistani cuisine, passed down from generations. Due to Pakistan's geographic location, it has inherited dishes not only from its Mughal legacy, but also the flavours from neighbouring Afghanistan, Iran and western Asia and this is reflected in her style of cooking. Within Pakistan, the food varies greatly regionally, and we believe its now, high time, that this wonderful cuisine is placed firmly on the map.

These 'dawat' ( dinner party) dishes are inspired from homecook Nina Nisar's  memories of growing up in a Pakistani household, where many  'dawats' were thrown. It defined good living,  'adab' (politeness) and 'tehzeeb'  (way of life).  Food, melodic music (in the form of qawallis-devotional sufi music about love) and conversation would be central to the theme. You'd know that a 'dawat' was taking place as soon as the heady aroma of saffron and cardamon engulfed the air, or the sizzling sounds of a  meat stew cooking away in a  kadhi (cast iron wok) could be heard.

Come, let us  take you on this nostalgic journey. Guests will be offered a welcome complimentary non-alcoholic drink - chilled sherbat (prepared from fruits and herbs) before sinking into their seats to enjoy and take in the visual and sensual aromas, and everything the head chef, Nina Nisar has to offer.
