Description
Our inspiring and talented Bboy-turned-Jam skating buddy, Jim Krummenacker (aka Big Jem) has announced his UK Skate Tour with a final TWO-DAY skate workshop at BASE Dance Studios in London on the 1st & 2nd, March 2025.
Day 1: Floorwork & Spins - Saturday 1st March @ 4pm - 5:30pm
Day 2: Flow & control - Sunday 2nd March @ 5:30pm - 7pm
Jim was a professional breakdancer in Paris for over 25 years and is known in the European skate scene for his unique jam skating style. He combines breakdance techniques into his skating which is what makes it "jam skating". His workshops focus on:
- Developing your individual skate style (freestyle)
- Floorwork techniques to build your strength & style
- Improving your control and flow in the middle (middlework)
- Upgrading your spins
Minimum Requirements:
- This is not suitable for ultimate beginners. You must know how to skate, transition/change directions and stop.
- Must have jam plugs
- No toe stops (as this will restrict your spins, floorwork & flow)
- Protective gear is always advised (but optional)
- Wheels must be no harder than 99A (indoor wheels).
- Please read and accept Sk8Hub's Health & Safety Disclaimer before booking!
Big Jem's UK Tour Dates:
1. EDINBURGH: Edinburgh Rollerdance
Saturday 22nd February
2. LEEDS: Roller Girl Gang
Tuesday 25th February
3. BRISTOL: Skate Temple
Friday 28th February
4. LONDON: Sk8Hub London
Saturday 1st @ 4pm - 5:30pm
Sunday 2nd March @ 5:30pm - 7:30pm
