Voyage around the fascinating and under-explored world of flavourings and factory foods at new talk-and-tasting series Flavour of the Month.
This month we pretend Woolworths never closed down as we regress to the joyful days of Pick'n'Mix sweeties. Whether your fix was Refreshers, fizzy cola bottles or pineapple cubes, you'll find out how flavourists put together sweet flavourings and try many of the amazing ingredients in their toolkit. Discover the fascinating cultural and scientific history of confectionary, and enjoy a retro candy tasting. We can guarantee by the end of the evening you'll have dib dabbed your way into a sugar high, and your mouth will be in an extreme pleasure/pain situation from eating all those sour sweets.
Tickets include cocktail (or mocktail) the flavour tasting and lots of sweets. We'll also throw in some crisps for some balancing savoury sustenance.
Also .... though this event takes place on April Fool's Day it is most definitely happening and isn't pretend!
+18s only. No cancellations or date changes but if you can't make it feel free transfer on your ticket to a friend.
